Hello lovlies! I’m so happy to share this video with you guys. A lot of people ask my sister and I what we eat as vegans all the time so here is a little snippet of our day. We hope to bring more of these videos to you more often because not only is it giving you ideas, but we can also go back to these videos and recreate some of these creations.
Most of you are not vegan, but please still feel free to watch this as you might want to have #meatlessmondays, want ideas for a healthier meal, or simply interested on what we eat. Enjoy!!
1st Meal: Blueberry Tofu Smoothie Bowl
Block of silken tofu [great for protein]
Blueberries [natural antioxidants]
Frozen Bananas [“carb up”]
A little bit of water to aid in blending
Blend all ingredients until smooth and top to your heart’s desires!
2nd Meal: ‘Not Your Mamas’ Cornbread and Beans (haha!)
3 T coconut oil
1 1/2 c corn meal
1 c gluten free flour
3 1/2 t baking powder
2 1/2 T coconut sugar
1 c non dairy milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a pan. In a large bowl, whisk together all dry ingredients, then pour in wet ingredients. Stir until combined, then pour mixture in pan. Bake at 350 for 25-30 min, until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cornbread comes out clean.
Heat up some beans and spinach on the side and top with sriracha because sriracha is bae 🙂
I thought of this blog post because I know I am always looking for easy, healthy dinner ideas and I know there are more of you out there who are looking for inspiration as well. I will start doing these posts to give you ideas on what you can eat for dinner if you are trying to eat healthy.
As you all know, I food prep at the beginning of the week and eat the same meal for almost the entire week. This week’s dinner is a whole avocado, tomato slices, quinoa, and kidney beans. (p.s I add sriracha sauce to everything so I have a lil on my avocado) This meal is so easy to prepare and it is surprisingly fulling. Try it out! It is so delicious.
Another great find for my Dallas peeps! I first discovered Village Burger Bar on Instagram. I saw a person post a picture of this fat, juicy burger and clicked on the hashtag. Hundreds of enticing pictures came up and I had to go try it for myself.
Village Burger Bar is located in Uptown; 3699 McKinney Ave, Dallas, Tx. It is a small establishment centered around fantastic shopping and other eateries. Very nice environment to hang out and socialize. There’s no server so you will have to go to the bar, located right when you enter to order your food.
My sisters and I sat outside on the patio. It was a beautiful day. We went on a Friday. They have happy hours Mon-Friday. We enjoyed their half priced $3.25 margaritas. Soooo good! The burger I got was called the Champagne Cheddar Burger. It was soo goood!!! If you like sweet potatoes, trying their sweet potato fries is a must!

Hello lovlies!…of course my 1st official post is about food! I love my Triple D and to showcase my passion for the city, my sister and I go out on the town in hopes of finding great food once a week. I love when we can find “hole in the wall ” places to satisfy the foodie in me. Today’s Sunday Funday consisted of us visiting a place called Jonathon’s. It is a small establishment in Oak Cliff serving breakfast and brunch.Look how small this place is!! It is a small house which has limited seats, so anticipate a line! I wish I would have gotten a picture of how many people were there, but it is worth the wait! (Our wait was about 45 min)
We saw a lot of food coming out while we were waiting and I’m not over exaggerating but all the food looked amazing! Even though everything looked tempting, we already knew what we were going to get…The Kure! It is a mound of eggs, cheese, potatoes, sausage, and jalapeno biscuit. As you can see you get a ton of food! We had to take half to go of course. Very tasty and I definitely would get it again. The price for this deliciousness was $12.
Apparently Jonathon’s is known for their chicken and waffles. I will try this the next time I visit. Looks good!!!
I want to encourage you to go out and explore your city (at lease once a week). It is very liberating as oppose to going through your regular weekly routine In my case, my exploration is finding good food! Enjoy the rest of my pictures and until next time….
